Victorious!

June 3rd, 2009

Full Battle Mode was victorious in the karting challenge due to last minute heroics of Captain William Tracy. We then proceeded to sit around doing nothing until Thunderdome which Captain-General Alexander White attended and wowed 10,000 screaming, roaring fans with his award winning drifting skills. Currently preparing for the next ClubFR event!

The Dragon Roars

All of FBM’s 240SXs are in a single place. That can only mean one thing. Do something completely unrelated to them.

Heading into Winter

November 7th, 2008

The season is over for Full Battle Mode. There is a final event at Gateway but Unit 03’s busted steering rack, Unit 02’s ongoing problems, and a general laziness after the last Drift Day prevents FBM from attending. In terms of updates Unit 01 was sold and Unit 03 was rushed into play, but the differences between 155 hp in 1992, 185,000 miles ago and ~350hp right now was too much to overcome for Captain-General Alexander White in a single practice, leading to a poor showing in the final MWC event, settling for 8th for the season. Unit 02 still has not had a problem free Drift Day. Plans are being drafted for the ‘09 season, but as they involve beef and libations things are still fairly uncertain.

Winter plans for now involve some paint, some general fixing, and some trash talking. Someone has to keep Risky Devil in their place. They somehow went from only fielding Pawel at the Thunderdome earlier in the season to having like 15 cars on the track and have begun to absorb Grip Gambler. And since Captain William Tracy is completely useless… tough odds.

UPDATES

August 8th, 2008

Haven’t touched this in a while. So far Alexander has 10 points in the 2008 MWC with 2 8th place finishes, William has 0 as his car is only recently nearing operational status. Unit 01 is up for replacement soon enough, as another car sits in the FBM HQ, waiting for it’s stunning debut. Tension within FBM is high as William completely blew the task of waking up early and getting shit done in preparation for an event in Ohio, and now is probably going to be missing the PRO-AM in Shawano, City of the Wolf, WI.

Disappointingly, Chief Rival Eric Wortman is almost surely out for the entire season, as at the end of last season began constructing a super car to defeat Alexander and the intrepid Unit 01. Unfortunately this super car requires such high tech marvels as individual brake boosters or something like that to defeat the high tension black monster Unit 01, and such advanced technologies take time and money to implement. Also Eric mentioned teaming up to defeat Risky Devil, which infuriates Alexander every time he thinks of it.

Speaking of Risky Devil, super-underground-hard-parkers-with-access-to-a-vinyl-machine, their sole mobile member, or member with balls, or whatever, took on Alexander in the Unit 01 at Rockford Speedway on not one but two occasions. The first ended in a technical defeat for Alexander, as the FBM flag touched the ground in the middle of a high stakes drift racer battle, causing him to forfeit despite his impressive drubbing of Pawel Rogowski. In their second battle, at Sumo Drift: Return to the Thunderdome, Alexander crushed Risky Devil’s Pawel and well as privateer Darrell in a titanic three way super showdown as seen here: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TGoQcJ8XvIg.

FBM is currently preparing for the PRO-AM qualifier at Shawano, City of the Wolf as well as Sumo Drift: Return to Thunderdome II or whatever it’s called at Rockford Speedway. Galleries will be updated eventually. Also, an attempt was made to fix the sidebar that ended in failure. One day it will rise from the bottom of the page.

FBM Footage, Terrible Tandem.

At around 1:30 and onward you can see Unit 01 tandeming with the Jay’s Grey Hatch. It’s not too impressive, aka pretty lame, but it’s there. I was still trying to figure out how to follow a faster cars line, later when I was tandeming with the Red FC, Gray MkIII, and Grey Silvia coupe I had it down much better and was doing pretty good, but sadly there is apparently no footage of that.At ~7:10 there is a little something for the fans, heh.

End of the Season

October 4th, 2007

It’s been a while. Drift Day 18 and 19 galleries uploaded. Season results: Alexander with 2 points defeats rival Eric Wortman and that’s about it. William ends up with no points and rod knock because he has offended the gods in some manner. Before the next season we must sacrifice our finest calf and pour many a libation for the gods if we are to have further success in our quests to be heroes.

Drift Day Midwest 17

July 12th, 2007

Round 4 of the Midwest Cup Series at USA International Raceway in Shawano, CITY OF THE WOLF, WI on July 8, 2007. Captain-General Alexander and Unit 01 placed 14th in the competition, one place ahead of last, bringing another single point home for Full Battle Mode. Captain William’s Unit 02 Mk. II is not fully functional and lumbered about without the benefit of power steering. Gallery has been posted, it is glorious.

Rumors of an upcoming Team Competition currently are filling Captain-General Alexander with ideas as to the future. Details will follow.

Drift Day Midwest 16

June 27th, 2007

Round 3 of the Midwest Cup Series at Road America’s Briggs and Stratton Motorplex in Elkhart Lake, WI on June 22, 2007. Full Battle Mode did not qualify due to lack of paying attention during the morning briefing. Or at least that’s what we keep telling ourselves. Gallery is up, as well as the gallery for Drift Day 14. For Drift Day 15 we had no action shots so it’s not even worth posting.

Drift Day Midwest 14

April 25th, 2007

FBM attended Drift Day Midwest 14 at Autobahn Country Club on April 15th, 2007, which was also the first round of the Midwest Cup Series. While Unit 02 Mk. II was not fully tuned in time for the event, Captain General Alexander and Unit 01 stepped up and placed in the top 16, getting an entire point for the first event of the series. Gallery to come soon.
